It was another storming Trans-MISSION success as 240 of you came along to The Extra Time bar where resident DJ's Jasmine Clarke and Vicky Valentine kept the party going until the strike of 2 a.m. Our new, recently revised mix of music really seems to be hitting the spot as the dance-floor once again remained packed right until the end of the night. The air-conditioning did it's stuff too, both in our swish lounge where many an item of gossip was exchanged, and on the dance-floor itself where three separate air-conditioning units ensure that despite the disco inferno, there isn't a make-up meltdown!
Following the departure of our usual photographer Shawna Honey back to pastures Trans-Atlantic (hmmm... now there's a good idea for the name of a club), we recruited the photographic talents of April Angell to provide this month's pictures (a link to April's excellent site can be found below the pictures themselves). And in case April's special skills still weren't enough, in our basement Gayle and Suzan of TransFigure were offering a professional photo service to anyone who wanted it (Gayle and Suzan will become regular fixtures at Trans-MISSION - keep an eye on our monthly newsletters for information on when they will be present).
And finally this month, our congratulations go out to Trans-MISSION regular Maria Jones, who announced her engagement to another Trans-MISSION regular, none other than her girlfriend Claire (both pictured on the right)! It will be an unusual wedding where one bride won't have to change her name, but the other bride will... We wish them (and the highly confused registrar) the very best. |
